"Do you need some magic to find your files?"...damn, this guy knows me very well...
It's incredible to see how the phrase "keep your stuff organized" loses sense every day. Google already introduced this amazingly simple but powerful (and useful) paradigm on GMail: don't care about the order, don't waste your time. The most important thing becomes TO FIND what you want, when you want.
After that, some developers started to consider the same thing for your (digital) documents on your Desktop...you just need to assign TAGS (short keywords correctly chosen) to your files, and after that it doesn't matter what happens to them. That's the main goal of tag2find - to mark everything beforehand, for it to be easily found later.
On the first launch you will need to create a database (some kind of index) file using the wizard. It installs as a service and gives the chance of auto-generating tags, based on file extension, metadata or parent folders, so the 90% of the work is just done! Featuring a very neat and straightforward user interface, tag2find is an excellent companion for every user that needs just a couple of minutes to convert his desktop into a browsable file jungle.
